The popular engineering and design publication Desktop Engineering released a video in which Kenneth Wong, editor of Desktop Engineering, reviewed two apps built by Front End Analytics using EASA codeless application authoring platform. Wong demonstrated that these apps make the simulation and modeling processing more accessible and easier to deploy to users with a wide range of skill levels.
Both of the apps reviewed were built by EASA partner Front End Analytics (http://www.feasol.com/) a company that leverages the flexible EASA platform to develop custom solutions for engineering firms and companies who rely on engineering-intensive processes.
Wong cited the apps– a Ball Bearing Smart Product Generator and a Plate Analysis app – as examples of what he calls “the Appification of simulation”, or the process of delivering simulation not as general purpose software, but rather as highly tailored apps built specifically to enable simple and easy deployment and usage of a particular model by a wide range of users.
Sebastian Dewhurst of EASA expressed the company’s appreciation for the feature, saying that this is exactly the sort of thing that the software is intended to do. “EASA’s rapid app authoring platform allows those in the engineering field to easily deploy models to non-experts, allowing for greater collaboration and efficiency of design, while at the same time preserving the integrity of the original model and securing the model so it functions properly for non-experts,” said Dewhurst.
